
2024 Scholarship Winner
We are proud to announce that our 2025 Anne E. Parker Memorial RCS scholarship winner of $1000 is Julia Hoovler, a Courtland High School graduate who will attend James Madison University this fall. The scholarship is given in memory of Anne E. Parker, a founding member of the Rappahannock Choral Society, to a Spotsylvania County high school graduating senior with plans to pursue an education in the field of music.

Julia has been surrounded by music her whole life starting with her parents. She has been playing the clarinet since 6th grade and is a section leader. She excels academically and is in the challenging program of the VA Commonwealth Governor’s school.
She plans to attend James Madison University in the Fall keeping music in her life through marching band and music classes.
Julia is a hard working, mature and dependable, mentoring those younger and less experienced members of her class. Congratulations Julia! The RCS wishes you the best in your future endeavors.
